Magna Housing
8no. homes of 2-3 bedrooms at the entrance to a village.
NOMA obtained planning permission for these proposals on a greenfield site in Dorset. The scheme was carefully considered to integrate into both its social and physical context, while the parking was exclusively off Bull Bridge Mead, with the existing road line retained.
By providing affordable housing where it is needed and a quality development, the scheme respects and enhances its context while aiming to provide a feeling of community.
From the outset, our client was keen to implement a solution using Modern Methods of Construction. As the scheme was for eight semi-detached houses with associated parking and landscape, we were able to use fully finished modular units that were an exact copy of the standard house types that Magna had developed.
This illustrates that modular housing is not just suited for larger schemes and it can now be adaptable enough to meet the needs of individual clients.
